imry-m mvum Twenty-five students were graduated from Garfield County High School Sunday, M ay 17. The Baccalaureate sermon was given by Rev. Rockstad at 2 P.M. The choir sang We°ve Just Begun.” Cookies and coffee were served in the cafeteria between services. At 4 P.M. the Seniors marched in to the beat of Pomp and Circumstance by Edward Elgerand played by the GCHS Band. The invocation was given by Rev. Rockstad. The choir sang This Is The Time. Scholarships were presented to Mike Green, Rhonda Gagnon, Gina FitzGerald and Ray Mumion by John Baule. Salutatorian Shan Whiteside welcomed everybody and Kyle Phipps, the valedictorian, gave a speech also. Dr. Harry E. Ray Jr., a professor at University of Montana in Missoula gave the address. Then the diplomas were handed out. 14

Ginn m LfiiiURn □UEEn fine HinG Lavurn Gagnon and Gina FitzGerald were crowned King and Queen at the 1987 GCHS Prom which was held on April 11 in the Multi-purpose roo m. The music was performed by Quest. They started at 9:00 p.m. and ended at 1:00 a. m. The decorations included lavender, purple, and silver streamers and balloons that were made into an archway at the east end of the roo m. The Grand March began at 10;00 p.m. and ended at 10:20. The Grand March had a lot of hand bridges to go through and walking down the middle. The couples were introduced by Mr. Munster man. After the Grand March they announced the crown bearers who were Dusty Buffington and Brittani Brusett. They walked down the isle as they announced the King and Queen. The prom finally wound up at 1:00 a.m. t The theme song was Heaven in Your Eyes by Loverboy. Earlier that evening, the Junior Senior Banquet was held at QD°S. Tony 0°Connor welcomed'everyone. Jack McRae gave the invocation. Kyle Phipps read the Class History. Then Sherlie Hains and Mike Green read the Last Will and Testament. Lisa Buffington and Alberta Murnion read the Prophecy. Kyle Phipps reading the Class History. Lisa Buffington and Alberta Murnion read Class Prophecy while Mike waits his turn. Mike Green, Sherlie Hains read the Wills.
