HOMECOMING Although w? did not have a fcotbal 1 team this year and it didn't quite seem like the usual Honeccming Spirit , Coronation was still part of the festivities. Oi the 10th of October inter tfr spotlight in the multipurpose room , the Homecoming Royalty , Candidates, and their escorts were introduced aid a short synopsis was read for each of them by Mike Green, the president of Student Counci 1, and Mrs. (tensfield. (terrene McWilliams and Tony Phipps After the candidates were amotnced and seated in their designated spots, the OCHS Swing Choir, inter the direction of (Vs. Wi 1 le, performed Tender Years . The lights were then dinmed and the spotl icfrt was directed on the stage as Mike amarced (tencene McWilliams and Tony Phipps the 1965 Homecoming Queen and King. After pictures were taken of the Royalty, refreshments were served. The GCHS Girls Basketball team played the Plevna Cojgats on Saturday the 12th and were victorious. After the game a dance was held in the multipurpose rocm. CX - to the sr-'v storm the Bonfire and Snak Dance were cancelled.
