Millie Hooker was an inspiration to our high school. She supported our school by sharing lier time and her knowledge with the students. Millie was always willing to give up her time for otters • and was considerate towards their feelings and needs. Millie's dedication to her fellow mankind won ter great respect and love from everyone who knew ter. Even after Millie's teaching career had ended she still devoted much of her time toward the school by substitute teaching. Her time and efforts were greatly appreciated by all who received them. We will cherish the moments we have spent with ter and we will all miss ter dearly! Top: Alan, Millie, John Hooker at Alan and Diane's wedding. left Bottom: Millie as a child. As you read and re-read this record I hope all my best wishes are unfolding with all the promise you have shown in this school year. Your participation in the class - es and activities indicate a realization of that promise. As youth flees and responsibility settles in, it is my sincere desire that the events recorded here will be remembered with a warm and tender feeling because your full po- tential has been reached. ' Sipperelyr P 0 ' John H. Dallum 19 HOME TO US For us, home means Garfield County. The smell of sage by a lonely butte. The wind in the pines along the “breaks”. The glassy smoothness of Fort Peck Lake on a summer The smoke of a bonfire in the trees on a spring night. It’s cruising the streets in a pickup truck or shooting some pool in the Dorm basement. It’s doing a skit with Jack and Kathy at Young Life or playing UNO with Mom and Dad. Dad talking about the days work, Mom waiting up ’till you come in at night. The kids squabbling over the TV set. Your brother borrowing your favorite cassette. For us. home means Garfield County. The friendly people and our sincere friends. Whom we hate to leave, But shall always remember to the end! 23 O M Y SSiS- MAY WE ALWAYS HAVE THEM. i FOREVER 27 Dorm Matron Betty Pluhar Z MUSTANGS CLASS OFFICERS: Cindy Hager, Secretary Treasurer; David Fogle, Student Council- Dan Fellman, Vice-President; Clyde Shawver, President; Jo Dee Isaacs, Student Council. This page is sponsored by VFW AUXILIARY 30 We always got our feet in the right direction -- sooner or later. Twenty-three unsure children started out in 1970, and have now advanced to the graduating class of 1982 . Alta Willie was the lucky teacher who started us out. Well, maybe she wasn't so lucky. High-light of the first grade year was Show and Tell . Our second-grade year was taught by Mrs. Viall and was filled with plays and Maypole Dances. During our third-grade year we were movie stars when we participated in a spelling- bee on Television. Mrs. Ward taught us that year. Our fourth-grade year, taught by Mrs. Turner, brought music into our lives when many of us join- ed band. With fifth-grade came sports and cheer- leading. Of course we all excelled, some more than others. Mrs. Biastoch was our teacher. In sixth-grade the boys picked up litter in the park, while the girls watched a movie. The boys still haven't figured out what the movie was about. Our teacher, Mrs. Osborne, was sure not to let them figure the movie out. Mrs. Fuglestad taught us our seventh-grade year. She took us on a lot of fun field trips. Eighth- grade brought Mr. and Mrs. Gardner to Jordan, Montana. We were split into two classes, the eight b s and the rest of the class. At the end of the year all of the future Freshmen got together and had a party out at the Lake. Mr. Gardner promised the class of 1982 that he would buy them their first keg when they graduated. Thank you, Mr. Gardner, we're going to hold you to it!! We were 39 people strong when we started our Freshman year at G. C. H. S., the Home of the Mustangs. Our world changed as we saw it from a whole new perspective. Freshman initiation crack- ed the shell of our little eggs we had been living in. A total eclipse of the sun occurred that year and a circus came to Jordan also. If we would have been smart, we would have joined the circus and skipped the town. That's Freshmen for you! ! By our Sophomore year we had dwindled down to 36. We won Homecoming Queen and float at Homecoming that year. We had finally passed the Freshmen stage , although many of us still acted like Freshmen. Our Junior year brought serious thoughts which passed quickly in our minds. The girl's basketball and boy's basketball teams went to Divisional. We placed well in the District tournaments and received the best band and cheerleading awards. Prom was a huge success, (Oh, Lord, it's hard to be humble!) and many hours of labor went into it. It is now our Senior Year and we have already won Homecoming King and Queen this year. Now that we are all Big Seniors, we look back at all of the good times and friends we've had atG. C. H.S. Take care of this GREAT old school for us, huh!!!! 32 Front Row: Mike Bibeau, Dan Fellman, Steven MacDonald, Clyde Shawver, Duane Bollinger, Carson Buffing- ton. and Kenny Volk.
