In honor of this we dedicate our 1977 RE MU DA to Ki A picture is worth a thousand words just as Hazel’s son, Orval, has done in his paintings below. These pictures paint an image of what Garfield County was like when Hazel Maben moved here from Detroit, Nebr. Hazel moved to Montana with her family in 1914 when the land was not yet completely settled. In fact, on the journey to Jordan some Indians camped with the family. This scared Hazel as it would any little girl traveling in a strange territory. Hazel, along with Ethel Thomas, made up the first graduating class of Garfield County High School. This graduation took place in 1917. A year later she took the test to get her teaching certificate. After passing the test she taught 15 terms in the county. In 1919 Hazel married Earl Frady. Together they raised their three children, Richard, Orval, and Iva Jean in the Van Norman area. Hazel is still happily living on the homestead she worked so hard to build. She takes an active interest in community affairs and enjoys visiting with people from every generation. 3 Aerial photos by Paul McKenna This page is sponsored by RYAN GROCERY ITHHE AM I G ,v l'-'v ■I ■ I I t I 1 WtiV'WO VA'mAoH COURT HOUSE ilMtlli conoco CONOCO, The Trees fecker’s Knob Blueberry Hill Lover’s Lane i 8 Jimmy's Garden Spot The Airport The Sandpile The Circle 9 VbJ' li ■• St '•? , V '■ ; ’'ftC } 'vy ; -‘ VK5tV‘: • . This page is sponsored by B B LAUNDROMAT DEAR DIARY 8 30 76 Thank goodness no English teacher is going to read my diary so I don't have to worry about spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and all that rot. We have more new teachers in the school this year than new kids--not counting Freshmen. There are eight new teachers and six new kids. Well, its back to the ole' drawing board. 9 2 76 The guys have finished painting the school green. It looks alot better. I, and everyone else, really miss the pop machine. 9 9 76 The annual staff sold ads. We had our first football game. The Freshmen were initiated on Septembers. George, Raul and Mary played at the initiation dance. Mike Guesanburu was even whiter than the J . 9 16 76 The girl’s 3rd Annual Basketball Tournament was held in Jordan. The girls came in 2nd. Nashua beat them but they looked pretty good. 9 23 76 Jhe Home Ec kids fed the ladies’clubs at their annual dinner. Lori Saylor got bucked off her horse. She hurt her back and was in the hospital for awhile. 9 29 76 Last night Duane Jessen and Bob Fitch were driving around town and they saw quite a sight. A skunk was wandering across Main Street. The skunk tried to duck into a nearby Motel window but it didn’t work. He ended up getting a lot of attention. The pain and miseries that the Football guys go through just to dress out are about to be told: First, the pants which are made tight by hip pads, leg pads, and knee pads are put on. This is nothing to look forward to because it pulls all of the hair out of your legs. Next comes the shoulder pads. Then the skin-tight jersey. When you get the jersey over your head you have to have someone else pull it over your shoulders. By now you feel like an Egyptian Mummy all WRAPPED-UP! 10 1 76 Last week-end the guys finally won a football game against Winnett. YEA US!!! A dentist is coming to check everyones teeth and show them how to brush them the proper way. Wow! It sounds exciting. I think I'll skip it. We just had Clean-Up Day and it seemed to be a big success. Dick McDonald and Steven Weeding went over the hill and sat down so they could watch everybody else work while they talked about domestic and foreign affairs. In study hall one day Brian got a pass to go to the bathroom. On the way he took a small detour and got a drink. A teacher walked up and asked him if she could see his pass. Brian showed it to ter and the teacher asked, What are you doing getting a drink?” Brian replied, Because I have to get a drink before I can go to the bathroom. ” Quick thinking there..Brian. 10 7 76 Scott Guptill, Bob Fitch, and Duane Jessen folded the Jordan Tribune Thursday. Montana started selling Coors beer. Left hear it for the Basketball girls, they are on a winning streak. They have a 5-1 record. Dirty Harry, the goat Tammi gave B. J. died. His funeral is tomorrow. 10 15 76 Brian Fitzgerald saw a UFO. It followed them and disappeared over Kirby's. Homecoming was this week. The Juniors won the float contest. (YEA! since a Junior happens to be typing this) The Speech and Drama Team had their first meet. 10 21 76 Scott Guptill made a touchdown at the football game. Four boys did very well on the Army Tests. We had our first snow of the season. 10 28 76 The guys played their last football game. They didn't do too well this season. Duane and Dick were nice and sponsored the Saga. Sunday is Halloween. Just think, in three days you can take off your mask! 11 5 76 Pop-Couises were last week so everybody was busy running all over the place. Kayleen Wright was bowling and proceeded to hit her head with the ball instead of the floor. Pam Cowin got sick ter first time up in the airplane. Dance Montana was here. They were all really good. The band went to Billings for Rocky Mountain Band Day. They got first out of the two schools competing. Jordan managed to get the trophy. 11 11 76 The girls didn't do too well at the tournament... They placed 2nd in conference play but only placed 6th at the tournament. Tammi, Leslie, B. J., and Donna got a little noisy with their water fighting and received a quiet” call from both Mr. Dehne and the Management. 36 11 18 76 The grade school and the high school faculty play- ed a benefit basketball game. The high school tur- keys gobbled up the grade school chickens . Proce - eds are to be used for new gym equipment. 11 27 76 The Turkey Tournament was held in Harlowton. Jordan did fairly well and came in 3rd. Someone did a lot of window -waxing Sunday. Someone did a lot of window-washing Monday! Charlotte Stanton was thrown into the boys’ lock- er room and Dennis Green was caught with his back- field in motion! The Dorm kids that were grounded for non-passing grades have been ungrounded since last night. I should know! 12 6 76 George Wilson brought a new game called Rodeo” to the dorm. George has played every game and is yet to win even one. Last night Morgan Michael got his two front lights ripped off, wires and all. Leo Dutton is getting his figure ready for his Christ- mas role... Santa Claus! Seniors and others are busily giving out pictures and telling each other how cute they are. Only 19 days left till Christmas. Count em', 12 8 76 Lynn Clauson was left behind in the Kit Kat Cafe bathroom in Billings. Jane Slayton has had to have an operation on her throat. 12 23 76 Mustangs had their first non-conference win a- gainst Lambert. Tammi and Deanna won 1st place in Humorous Duo at the Huntley Speech meet. The Christmas Formal was last night and the school Christmas Program the night before. 12 25 76 We wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year... 1 6 77 Mr. and Mrs. Ostby and Mrs. Diede wrecked their cars over the week-end. Mr. Ostby was gone, the place was UNKNOWN. (Wonder if Mrs. O. knows). 1 13 77 School let out early because of bad weather. The Speech and Drama Meet in Lewistown was cancelled, also the game with Sacred Heart. 1 20 77 WATCH OUT!! The Freshmen have started taking Drivers Ed. It seems that most of the kids around here have CB's. Anyway, Morgan and Les must think so because 37 they have started a CB column in the Saga. Ffeople enjoyed eating popcorn and drinking pop while listening to the ” Pop Music concert presented by Miss David and her band. 1 27 77 Jordan placed 3rd in the Jordan Invitational Speech and Drama Meet. Lynn Clauson won 3rd place and Tammi and Deanna won a 1st. Muff Engdahl was the only Junior to make the Hon- or Roll. 2 3 77 Lynn Clauson was the only one placing at the Dis- trict Speech Meet. She will now attend the State Meet at Havre. 2 10 77 Lynn Clauson came home with a 5th place medal and a 3rd place trophy from the State Speech Meet. 2 12 77 There was a 50's dance after the game. Bruce Edwards and Barb Harbaugh were the stars. It was really a blast! Last Saturday night Ed Ryan won a cake at the ball game. It really worked out neat because it was his birthday. Last week Duane Jessen brought Mrs. Hanson a box of candy for Valentines Day and Leo gave it to her. Now they can call her Ma . 2 21 77 I was told that while in Miles City Thursday the Basketball boys watched the Las Vegas ShowGirl Pageant. I watched part of it until I found that the girls weren't anything to get thrilled about so I went to sleep. The drill team was thoroughly embarrassed at the tournament when their tape player did a little skipping”. They wanted to leave the floor but Miss Charvat insisted they start again. They did really well the second time through. Everyone is running around blurry-eyed from too much tournament and not enough sleep over the week- end. Last week there was lots of excitement when a big hot-air balloon lit out in the hills. A few kids went out to see the thing . It flew over Jordan about noon. The whole school was let out to see it but a dot in the distance was all they could see. Next year Jordan will be going back to Class C. 3 6 77 Today is the final date-line for the Remuda. She was a 6reat old maid in the school play, but chances are against it in real life. iliort, vivacious DARLA CUR- RE Y is always running fro.'i om job to another. She was good with her original cutting of an Irish girl at Speech meets. Freckle-faced BRUCE EDWARDS se'dom made it to class on time — too many stops on the way down the hall to let girls feel his fuzzy beard. On Dress-Up day he was a knock-out. Homecoming Queen KATHY GREEN will be remembered for her regular wande.nigs into boys' cans on Speech trips. She loves cats and Victor. Her little variegated green bug never gets her home on time. Hunting and trapping are the favorite sports of quiet HAL HAINES. He managed to make Consumer Ed endurable svith his constant run of jokes. If a yellow Omega Oldsmobile rives by with a smiling, grinning giggling, laughing (all at the same time) girl at the wheel, it is KATHY HELM. She likes hard work, speech meets and swimming November. Those good grades got PHYLLIS HIGHLAND voted the most intell- igent girl in die Senior class. She likes to spend a lot of time at home but is always busy while at school in the library and t Saga. Self-acclaimed bad” of the good, bad and the ugly CHUCK JESSEN spends almost as much time with football and basketball as he does flirting with the girls. ED JOHNSON is known for his work at the station and his fixing cars. He has worked hard to grad- uate this year even though he mis- sed last year. He likes queens, at least one. JANE HOVERSON is always the last one to leave the school and when she does, she leaves it clean. She is a great coffee and pop com maker. RANDY LEHNER is known for his knack for causing trouble and staying out of it at the same time It would be just as hard to imagine him without his ’ ass drum as with- out his mustache. Thar long hair has never kept SANDY ! ERVICK from being a basketball star. She has been a great president for a great class. Her smile is the brightest when there is a letter in the mailbox. 'I here is never a dull moment with liamer DICK MCDONALD around. He says he is the ugly’ of the 'good bad, and the ugly. ” His ugly face has been made beautiful with angel kisses. PAUL MCKENNA with his ability as a photographer has contributed a lot to the Saga and Remuda. He spends many of his daylight hours in the darkroom--doing what, nobody knows. What can you say about BRENT McRAE? He has a born talent in senseless arguing. Brent is also the defence master of the Angus cattle breed. For fun he traps and takes in wild boar riding. The shy, quiet figure walking down the hall of GCHS is CALVIN McWilliams. He is very sincere in what he says and does and al- ways has a Dashful smile for the one he loves. DEBBIE MILLER always looks like a fashion plate for a Western magazine. She sews a lot. The great love of her life is horses. As a librarian she always goi ist chance at the horse books. ’ That gal wiih a special touch with farm animals as well as pets is MARY MURNION. ' She seems shy, but can really hold her own with those not-so-shy brothers. Rodeo is i Ik Ifl sport in the shining eyes of CORRINE MURN- ION. As quiet as she seems, she is a great contributor to the Young Life program. The Martha Josey saddle is one of TERESA MURNION'S treasures from rodeoing. But she doesn't always wear cowboy clothing because she was voted best diessee. The school's vote for most intelligent boy award went to TONY MURNION. But sometimes he ma- kes us wonder; especially when he blew up the chemistry lab. Even his good debating didn't get him out of that one. If you get whistled at on the street, it will probably be by CHRIS RLUHAR. Or at least his car. That horn saves him a lot of breath. Chris is talented at turning his words around backwards Student Council President BRINDA PHIPPS has worked hard to make a better GCIIS. Her friendly, unselfish nature has helped, too. Steve is a part of her every conversation. Feather-eatin' ALAN PLUHAR is known for his hearty laugh, his pride in his wrecked cars and his ready conversation. To him the world is one big playground. TERRY RITTER was a good Chem- istry lab assistant--to Tony Murnion. His next experiments were in Home Ec with almost as disastrous effects. A bad knee kept him out of sports. The boy in the black hat, WES ROGGE, will be remembered for his quiet behavior in school and his rambunctiousness afterward. When there is art work to be done, BEV RYAN is the one. She is already a successful business woman, co-manager of the B B Laundromat. Bev says her favor- ite friends are animals. Wonder what kind F t is? The wildest laugh ever comes from the lungs of BONNIE RYAN, also co -manager of the famous B B. She has lots of energy for cheerleading, basketball, and chasing boys. Flirt of the year, LORI SAYLOR, usually, but only usually, flirts with a guy in a red Ford. She is soft-spoken for a Cheerleader, but at times you can hear her clear outside. No one uses bad language around JANE SLAYTON without being reprimanded. She is always on time to school, but by the end of the week, she says, Thank God it is Friday. JACKIE SPILLUM'S interests fiave run more to sheep and farm- ing than school, but he was a faithful camera man at basketball games. Maybe his biggest effort went into growing a beard. MICKY STANTON'S orange Mustang must know every rock and pot-hole on that Brusett road, because he never misses a basket- ball game or practice. He is the old man of the class by at least a month or so. When Marvin Loomis graduated and left GCHS, CONNIE TRUMBO was so upset that her hair turned black overnight. She was so eager for what the outside world might hold, she finished high school in three years. Utter confusion in Home Ec Lab is synonymous with PAULA WATSON. She good-naturedly takes the teasing that friends give her about her norange hair and the temper to go with it. SHARON WEST -- Nice smile, long pretty hair. Ed, macrame, buckskin horses and crowns --that about says it for the gal from out west of town. The rodeo hand in the black hat with a lip full of snuff is STEVEN WEEDING. He is more intellectual than he looks be- cause he lias contributed a lot Gun collector KIM RIIOADS is one of tie champion chess players of GCHS. He lias kept the Saga solvent with his good ad sales- manship. Another gun nut is KALVIN WILLE. His picture appears here under protest. In fact, he Iras gone to school 12 years under pro- test--usually late. to tie Saga. THE ADVENTURES OF THE ILLUSTRIOUS MO CELEBRATED CLASS OF'77 AS TRIALS, JOYS, AND SUNDRY OTHER EXPERIENCES BEFELL THEM THRU 12 ARDUOUS YEARS OF SCHOOL AS TOLD TO THE REMUDA EDITORS BY VARIOUS MEMBERS OF THE ABOVE NAMED CLASS. Let’s take a look at the best class that ever entered Jordan Elementary School or left G. C. H. S. When entering the first grade, the class consisted of: Kendall Artz, Connie Bowland, Marilyn Butts, Pam Cowin, Darla Currey, Bruce Edwards, Kathy Green, Hal Hains, Jane Hoverson, Ed Johnson, Chuck Jessen, Randy Leliner, Corrine Murnion, Teresa Mumion, Tommy Mumion, Tony Mumion, Kim Rhoads, Terry Ritter, Beverly Ryan, Bonnie Ryan, Jackie Spillum, Connie Trumbo, Dale Trumbo, Paula Watson. Steven Weeding, KalvinWille, and A. Wolfe. Four students dropped out of this class at various times during the year. The teacher was Mrs. Alta Wille, the Principal was Mr. Safratowich, and the teacher’s aide was Mrs. Jeanne Fellman. This was the biggest and best class that Mrs. Wille had ever taught. Since the new building was not quite ready and the conditions of the old grade school building were too crowded, the Lutheran Church basement was used as the first grade schoolroom. This caused many tears on the part of the pupils, after waiting so long to go to school and then ending up in church. In their second year, they moved to the brand new grade school building. Their teacher was Mrs. Margaret Viall and they had a new Principal, Mr. Phillip Ward, who remained as Principal at Jordan Elementary for the next six years. Two new pupils joined the class that year, DeeAnn A meson and Brent McRae. The third year, the highlight of the year was when the class put on a play called PETER PAN . Terry Ritter played the lead. He was very cute in his little green pants. The fourth grade brought many exciting times for Steven and Chuck. They spent many long hours standing in the hall. The fifth year, Steven and Chuck did a little growing up. (Little is the key word). It was also the year in which the class rotated from room to room for their classes. The sixth year, some students wished that they could skip the entire year. The teacher was Mr. Rassmussen, and he was very rough. By the end of the year, most of the girls had copied the entire dictionary, and quite a few boys had done the same. Most of the year was spent building rockets, having checker tournaments, learning Spanish, and last, but not least, having a science fair. Bonnie, Bev, Sandy, and Teresa put on a play for the rest of the class. At that time, Bonnie and Bev hated boys and they said they would never have anything to do with them. It seems that they changed their minds somewhere along the line. In the seventh year, the boys were kept fully occupied with playing basketball, and they were really quite good. In the eighth grade, the boys won eleven consecutive basketball games. Everyone was really proud of them. Every day at noon, the class would look in the closet to see if the teacher had left any cookies, and usually, they were rewarded . They would sit in the room and and eat most of their find. It was really surprising that they did not get into quite a lot of trouble. This year in the eighth grade was spent mostly in preparing for graduation and their entry into high school. Since no one wanted to spend another year in the elementary, the class worked very hard towards graduation. During the years in high school, the class gained and lost different students. The following is a list of students who were enrolled with the class at some time during their high school years: David Bailey, Richard Beginski, Benita Dick, Claire Loomis, Ray Lynde, Larry McWilliams, Karen Mury Watson, Frank Stone, Les Smotherman, LeRoy Treu, and George Wilson. The first year of high school, they won first place on their float in the Homecoming Parade. Also, the English classes were pretty wild with a teacher like Mr. Hopkins. He was a first year teacher and the class had a lot of fun with him. They used to take his chair and hide it in the closet. Also, Bonnie and Ray managed to break a window one day. The girls Basketball Team challenged the Boys Basketball Team to a match. Guess who won? Oh well, they tried. During the Sophomore year, Kathy Green tried following in the steps of the upper classmen. She skipped school one day with Sonja Rice Turner and Vicki Tenney Helm. All three of them received a three day vacation. This was the year when the class ordered their class rings. The rings arrived before the school year was over so everyone was happy. The Junior year was a very busy year. It was the year of the mad scientists, or as the rest of the world knows, the year that Tony and Terry tried to blow up the chemistry storeroom. They, also, received a three day vacation. Bake sales, Smorgasbords, and other money raising projects were the items of the year. The proceeds of $1,108. 00 went to pay for the Prom. The Banquet and the Prom were both held on the same night, Friday, May 7th. High points of the evening were when Steven dropped his plate of food upside down on the table before he had a chance to eat any of it, and when everyone stood up to say Grace, Sandy knocked her chair over and attracted everyone’s attention. The Prom itself turned out to be perfect. The multi-purpose room was decorated with blue crepe paper with stars on it. Theie was a wishing well and a waterfall with real running water. The theme was WE MAY NEVER PASS THIS WAY AGAIN , and the band performing was FEARL . Everyone enjoyed them- selves and the night was a big success until it was time to go and everyone started tearing down the decorations. It seemed such a shame to put all that work into something and have it destroyed in five minutes time. Now, these students are finishing off their last year. They started the year with initiation and it seemed as if they had just been initiated themselves. Some of the Juniors and Seniors took the ASVAB tests and the high school average was the highest in the state. Tire Army arranged a free trip to a hockey game in Billings for all who had taken the tests. Rocky Mountain College furnished a place for them to stay that night and the following day, they visited places of interest in Billings and did a little shopping before return- ing home on the bus. A final comment from President Sandy Lervick After May 15, 1977, we will all go our separate ways. I just hope that we all remember how much we have shared in the past 12 years. And in 10 years, I hope we will all get together again to share what has happened to our lives since our graduation. As soon as I picked up my Cut - Off truck from Sharon and Ed Johnson’s Rent- A-Car, 1 headed for town. On the way I saw Kalvin Wille patrolling the dump area. He is now the County Garbage Commissioner. As I neared town, I was passed by a man running at least 70 miles an hour. I couldn't believe it was really Dick McDonald until I remembered that he had lost both legs in a skiing accident and they had been replaced with bionic ones during surgery. Naturally the first place 1 stopped was at the store. There was Kathy Green wheeling Victor in lier cart and carrying an arm load of Friskie Cat Food. After reminding Mother to order more cat food, I stepped across the street to inspect Hal Hains private museum filled with his marksmanship trophies and his many caps from his safari trips in Africa. He said Paula Watson was still leading those tours through the jungles. As 1 started on down main street I was startled by a loud mixture of laughter and crying. Wading through 12 kids I found Brinda Pluhar who was disgusted at being thrown out of the Drug Store just because one of the kids messed on the floor. Stepping carefully into the Drug Store. I bought a Jordan Trib and there was Snuffy Weeding, mouth full of snoose, staring at me from the front page. He was being named to the Cowboy Hall of Fame for being the first person to ever win the National All-Around Title three times in one year. On down the street I hear hideous laughter coming from Kendall’s Tavern Inside I watched Phyllis Highland, one of the Sunshine Girls using her charms on Alan Pluhar the local night club comedian. The next morning as I entered the church, I was mildly suprised to see Mark Bibeau was the one wearing the white starched turtleneck and giving the word. The organ music was very pleasant to my ears. Jane Hoverson, now full-time janitor at GCHS was also organist on Sunday. Leaving town to enjoy a few days in tlie Missouri Breaks. 1 passed a palace with a moat surrounding it. The sign on the mail box read SANDY AND ALA BOA. During her visit to Arabia the previous summer she had married this millionaire whom she met after winning a belly dancing contest. I saw Sandy fishing alligators out of the n oat as I passed by. Since I needed a pack horse for my outing. I stopped by the prospering Gibbs Ranch. From the small beginning of one wild horse. Bev had transformed the entire ranch into a wild horse resort. Working as hired lieLp for Pat and Bev was Brent McRae who, after many unprofitable years, had given up on the Angus breed. Further down the road 1 stopped at a rest area. After using the restroom, I noticed Kim Rhoads, the tidy bowl man, working feverishly to keep his boat afloat. It looked as though he hadn't made it to the shelter of the rim in time. Moving on, I bought a few supplies in the little town of Stanton. Micky founded the town after striking oil one day while setting a fence post. He now spends his time flying to all his resort homes. The T. M. Saddlery was having open house so 1 sauntered in and a factory- new Martha Josey saddle was thrust into my arms by none other than Teresa Mumion. I happened to be the lucky 67th person to come through the door that day. In the back room I could see Bruce Edwards slaving away as her personal saddle maker. I awoke early the next morning to what I feared was Big Foot trudging into my camp. As it turned out. it wasn't Big Foot at all, just Marvin and Connie Loomis heading for the fishing hole. I talked with them long enough to learn that they had become confirmed Hillbillies, taking life easy and living off the land. Toward noon that day I came across a fellow with a slight problem Seems lie had pulled his hat over his eyes to hide from a bear and it had become stuck on his nose. As I helped him remove his hat I noticed the lettering on his jacket read CHARLES JESSEN FOREST RANGER. As 1 started on, his under-foot man. Randy Lehner, came running from the bushes with a butterfly net. He was very excited, having just sighted a yellow- tipped moth eater. The next day I headed back to Jordan completely starved. In the GD's Cafe I found Lori Saylor waiting tables. I sat down beside Kathy Helm at the counter and found out right away that the 18 wheeler parked in front was hers. I couldn't believe the 6D's had become so fancy that they put on a breakfast floor show. But there it was featuring handsome Paul McKenna tap dancing. Later he told me that he had just returned from Hollywood where he had co-starred with Ram Cowin in a movie named Tapper . He also said he had seen Corrine Mumion out there and she has replaced the Singing Nun. He said both Corrine and Pam always wore clothes designed by the now famous designer. Jane Slayton. On my way to look over good ole GCHS I passed a huge building under construct- ion. I was told it would house The Big Boozer's Liquor Store owned by Wes Rogge and Calvin McWilliams. Principal Chris Pluhar was in front of GCHS raising the flag to signify the start of another day of learning. Inside Darla Curry, his secretary, was sitting behind a desk. The nameplate read,MRS. V1NN1E BARBERRINO. All the trophies in the show cases rattled as a sonic boom shook the school. Darla remarked that it must be Debbie Miller in the 747 she has been flying for several years. It just so happened that the Seniors were taking Army tests that day. Sgt. Jack Spillum was walking up and down the aisle to see that they didn’t cheat. As I walked out the front door, I saw a multi-colored Corvette cruise by driven by Tony Mumion. Seems he spends his time promoting peace and tranquility throughout the town. It had been fun seeing and hearing about my former classmates, but I was anxious to get back to my job so I headed for the airport. For several years now I've been a life guard on the beaches of California and have been awarded many medals for my courageous attempts to save helpless persons from such terrors as Jaws and Moby Dick. 80 SENIOR BRAGS Artz. This created quite a stir, as he nearly ran over several people in his wild ride. Later on Kelly MacDonald and Barbara Harbaugh ran laps for missing basketball practise. You could tell when Kelly went by, because of the onions around her neck. The ceremonies were closed with a spoon race, in which all of the Freshmen participated. This was quite hilarious as they had to thread a spoon with a string attached, through their clothing. The loser of the race had to clean up the gym for the dance that followed.
