GARFIELD COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL REMUDA 70 JORDAN, MONTANA ENDSHEET: Picture of Sportsmanship Trophy won at District Tournament in Miles City, Montana. DEDICATION We, the 1970 Remuda Staff, would like to dedicate this annual to Mr. John A. Ryan for his many years of dedicat- ion to the Garfield County High School. Mr. Ryan has been a school board member for eight years. For the past five years he has served as its chairman. During these years Mr. Ryan has been completely dedicated to the betterment of the school and the community. The students' welfare and accomplishments have always remained uppermost in his mind. Winning the title was Phyllis Helm the senior candidate for Homecoming Queen. 36 G. C. H. S. HOMECOMING DAY, October 4, 1969, proved to be a damp and chilly day. Regardless of the drizzling rain, the parage proceeded as planned. Each class had a float entry. The Seniors, with their colorful float-- Beat 'Em Up”---- received first place in die float contest. Following the parade the Jordan football squad met the Nashua Porides in a vigorous play-off. One of their highlights of the year was helping put on the Donkey Basketball Game. It was not only moved, but many new things were added such as books, study carrels, and listening booths. The staff published several school papers throughout the year, plus additional news notes in the local Tribune. Their big event was the Sadie Hawkin's Day and Dance.
