CROSS ROADS INN Miles City, Montana Senior Class Play The 1967 seniors held their play entitled The Blundering Herd on April 21. 1967. Peggy Huston (Carla Uthaug) owned a ranch that was going broke. Walrus, the ranch's foreman (Jim O'Connor) and Pappy (K. L. Bliss) scheme to bring dudes to the ranch. Timothy Tyan (Roy Milroy) and Zip (Mike Heim), two city dudes, are hired by Walrus to portray cowboys. Ruth Bell (Katie Mc- Donald) a friend of Miss Hustons, offers her assistance. Shoo Hi (Keith Lilienthal) the Chinese cook, added humor and home- cooked western meals. Both organizations attended the Music Festi- val at Miles City. Several soloists from the band performed at the festival. They were: Heidi Gasser, piano solo; Glenn Hageman, trumpet solo; Baan Kester, tenor saxophone solo; Ronnie Kirby, trum- pet solo; and Carleen Singer, flute solo. The band and chorus also performed at the festival. Mr. Singer is director of both organizations. RIO THEATRE Jordan, Montana Dedicated to Good Entertainment 49 Pep Club Was Busy during ”66-67” Basketball Season The Pep Club is the heart of school spirit at G. C. H. S. with members helping cheer the Mustangs to victory. The Club supported the Mustangs by traveling to a Sacred Heart conference game and by paying for the cheerleader’s trips to away games. The Pep Club ran the concession stands at home games to raise funds, part of which were used to buy new pom-poms for the A-Squad and new skirts for the B-Squad cheerleaders. To boost school spirit, several members acted out a skit at the last Pep Rally. The Jordan cheering section stood out at the Tournament with its bright orange ties, white shins, and black skirts. Anyone taking shop or leather craft was eligible as a member. The club’s big project was the display of their crafts and projects. The art class was in- vited to show their projects also. Librarians have busy year The Library, under the supervision of Mrs. Brusett, has a new look. Many new books have been added and the old ones have received new bindings and covers. The Student Council started off the school year with Mr. Nedds telling us the pros and cons of G. C. H. S. One of the major points he mentioned was the fact that G. C. H.
