CLASS PROPHECY The year is 1975, 10 years since the Class of 1965 graduated.. I was on my way home from work from my modeling agency. I hadn't gone far when I ran into an old classmate, Lynn Arney, who was standing on the street corner selling pencils. We started talking about our old classmates and decided to make a survey of our class as it is now. I found that Lynn had a lot of information about them because of his frequent connections with the F. B. I. Glen Beecher, it seems, was arrested last week for starting grass fires in Hawaii. Marilyn Crane is a professor at Harvard College. April Dutton, Shirley Rath, and Kathy Vollmer are the first women astronauts to reach the moon alive. Pat Frady is the shorthand teacher in Custer County High School. Jerry Hensleigh is in Viet Nam. He is making a career of the Marines. He is a mess-hall sergeant. Bill O'Connor and his wife Linda Hauso own the biggest sheep ranch in Montana. Gary Owens, Vern Pluhar, and Larry Pluhar own the Cohagen Casino. Verna Schmidt is a soloist for the Grand Ol' Opera. April Fogle is still living around Jordan. She is a sheepherder for the Milroy Mutton Company. Ronnie Stanton has finally reached his goal; he is the photographer for the Playboy Magazine. John Schlepp and Irl Stanton own the Bon Bakery. Dean Milroy is their tour guide. They are famous for their recipe with vanilla extract, yeast, hops, and barley. Jeanne Wille and Tom Scott were married in June 1965. They are living in Tahiti right now, and Tom is having the time of his life. Kay Riley is the manager of the Riley Trucking Company. Jane Hafla and Arlene Mosby are now happy housewives. Dave Kester and Janice Butts are acting on Broadway. Jon Watt and Jeanne Norbury own their own hospital in the Congo. Marion Gregg is living with her husband, Bob, on their own personal island in the Aleutian Chain. Judy McKeever is A1 Cap's assistant artist. Wayne Uthaug is a patrolman in Jordan, specializing in giving kids drivers tests. Jane Gregg has full ownership of the Greasy Spoon in New York City. KOMA has a new radio broadcaster, Gloria Rath, the world's most long-winded announcer. Tom Fitzgerald is now the world famous comedian at Sing Sing. Marilyn Hendry works in the sporting goods department of Baan Wille's and has the world's record for selling track shoes.
