CLASS HISTORY 'Way back in 1953, twenty-eight terrified little youngsters, timidly peeking around their mothers' skirts, ventured through the doors of Jordan Public Grade School. Mrs. Patterson successfully launched us on our journey through eight years of elementary school. In 1961 we received our diplomas, signifying the completion of the first eight years of our education. That fall the group was stumbling through the halls of G.C.H.S. for the first time. Our first two years of high school went very fast; then in our junior year we began to see some action. Besides the traditional prom and banquet, we sponsored a picnic, bake sale, and a semi-formal. Under the direction of Mr. Neuhardt, we produced A Feudin' Over Yonder, a hilarious hillbilly comedy. Before we realized it, we were in the middle of our fourth and final year at G.C.H.S. Mr. Safratowich, the principal, was our sponsor. With Mr. Neuhardt's help once more we pro- duced another hillbilly farce, this one being Headin' For A Weddin' . We topped our four years of high school with an educational tour of Montana. Ten graduates— Jerry Hensleigh, Dave Kester, Jeanne Wille, Kay Riley, Verna Schmidt, April Fogle, Gloria Rath, Shirley Rath, and Kathy Vollmer--completed all twelve grades together. MONTANA CLASS PROPHECY The year is 1975, 10 years since the Class of 1965 graduated.. I was on my way home from work from my modeling agency. I hadn't gone far when I ran into an old classmate, Lynn Arney, who was standing on the street corner selling pencils. We started talking about our old classmates and decided to make a survey of our class as it is now. I found that Lynn had a lot of information about them because of his frequent connections with the F. B. I. Glen Beecher, it seems, was arrested last week for starting grass fires in Hawaii. During the '64-'65 school year the Student Council, under thedirection of Mr. Safratowich, sponsored four school parties. The first, and initiation party, was primarily to welcome the freshmen. Several interesting speeches were made and unusual prizes were given to lucky (?) winners. A Halloween Party, was the order for October. Once more prizes were given, this time for the most unusual costumes. The Christmas Party was held in December. An evening of games, dancing, and fun was topped by a hearty lunch. Valentine's Day was celebrated in the form of a semi-formal. The gym was decorated in red and white, the music quite formal and the luncheon consisted of dainty cookies and delicious punch. The council decided to put any extra money into a fund school. 62 for phonograph records for the STUDENT COUNCIL ACTIVITIES ■■n 63 Raggedy Ann and FAVORITES 64 FAVORITES jjMost Humctfous - 65 SNAPS 66 SNAPS 67 Lemcnsie Deutsch?
