The fact that they tied with Fontana at their first game of the year and lost all their pre-league games didn ' t bother the Vikings one bit. They were determined to go all the way, and that ' s just what they did. The Vikings literally stole all the Hacienda League champs with their perfect 7-0 record. But the Vikes didn ' t stop there. With a lot of hard work, determination, and a tremendous amount of support from the coaches, fans, and parents, the mean machine went on to win all of their CIF League games what they pushed for all year, a crack at the CIF Southeastern Conference Championship. The Vikings were up against Rosemead, a really tough team, but, as always, they came through and proved themselves by tying Rosemead with a final score of 19-19. The Garey High Vikings are the CIF Southeastern Conference co- champs. It took practice, skill, team work, and perfec- tion to get there, but the Vikings have it all.
