VARSITY WRESTLERS CHAMPS AGAIN 7 The 1979 wrestling team had a very successful season, finishing with an overall record of 13-6 and capturing first place in the San Anto- nio League. Highlights of the season included a first place finish in the La Sierra Tournament, a second place finish in the Victor Valley Tourna- ment, and an exciting come-from- behind victory in the San Antonio League Finals. Three individual wrestlers had ex- cellent seasons as they won league titles in their respective weights and also qualified for the C.l.F. Finals. Temo Contreras, 34-32 Tony Lizama, 29-81 and Paul Clark, 22-112 all placed high in the C.l.F. Semi-Finals and barely missed out in qualifying for the State Finals. Randy Farris, 25'5Q also won the league title at 98 pounds. Other key members of this year's squad were the captains, Raymond Muro, 21-92 and Duncan Tuitau, 19- 9.
