The Gardner-Webb student . . . tasting the bitter sweetness of college life . . . building a fortress based on the hunger for education . . . using materials granted individually by the Creator . . . although struggl- ing finding victory a complete reward. To the Student Body, the WEB dedicates this history of the 1973-74 school year. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you con- ceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspira- tions, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your soul. With all its shame, drudgery and broken dreams it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy . . . We are ready now, to leave our world and face the future. We are all individuals, and we strive to be ourselves, but in our lives we all have one thing in com- mon.
