Faculty- homes are located around the Drive. The Woman ' s Missionary Unions of the Kings Moun- tain, Sandy Run, and Gaston Asso- ciations led in raising money for the home. Mrs. Rush Stroup of Shelby, chairman of the campaign committee, was called the moving spirit in the completion of the building, which was occupied by the Elliotts in 1949.
