Jan. 22. Gardner traveled to Odell to take a thrilling contest, 51 to 47, from the St. Paul Saints. The I. V. five turned back St. Paul 51 to 45. Ian. 25 The Panthers easily turned back the Red Devils of Mazon High 55 to 22. In the preliminary contest the Junior varsity overturned Mazon 39 to 15. Ian. 29. Seneca High and Gardner High met in the latter's fieldhouse when the Irish over- whelmed the Panther five 68 to 38. I. V. won 39 to 36. Feb. 1. The Panthers set down the Coalers of Coal City for the first time in twenty-four matches. The Score was 47 to 43. The Jr. prep team won by a 40 to 31 count. Feb. 5. Panthers dumped Dwight 58 to 38 at Dwight. The Trojans were easily turned down in the varsity tilt. In the I. V. tilt the Panthers suffered their second defeat of the season. 46 to 39. Feb. 8. The Braidwood five visited the Panther gymnasium and emerged with a 56 to 46 victory. Jr. varsity avenged previous defeat 45 to 3'7. Feb. 12. Panthers played a non conference contest with the Bulldogs of Reddick. We e- merged in the victory bracket by winning 56 to 41. The J. V. did not play due to mis- understanding on contract reading. Feb. 15. In a conference tile the lrish of Seneca outlasted the- Varsity to capture a 54 to 46 battle. p The I. V.'s were edged 39 to 37. Feb. 19. Gardner traveled to Odell to meet the Rams. There were two over time periods with Odell making the final basket to win the game by two points. G. S.W.. 60. Odell 62. The J. V. 's won the preliminary 41 to 31. Feb. 22. G. S.W.
