has ,Qlailecy As we turn the dial on our T. V. set we see a great comedian directing his show, none other than Uncle Hokey, alias Bill Hockinson. He has replaced the Uncle Milty Show. Boy can he make the audience roll in the aisles. As we settle our brains down to watch the show, Uncle Hokey introduces the great soprano of this time, Jean Sowers. She really is a scream. Following the opera singing by Miss Sowers came the commer- cial with Kenny Lardi advertising mattresses. Doesn't he look realistic when he tries them out. As we switch the dial of our T. V. set to channel 8. we see Norman Sauerwein, the great television tycoon. Besides owning a large number of television stations, he also owns a new camera which he invented. It is called Oscar's Special. We then switch the dial back to 4 to see Thomas Perkins walk on stage. This show is 'sponsored by Perkins's Lumber Company. lt introduces talent from all over the world. The first act that will be presented will be three beautiful housewives from South Wilmington, Illinoisg Bette Lou Gaddo, Noreen Ferrari and Delores Residori. They will sing When You and I were Young Maggie. As the program ends we can see three well known names which everyone knows: Broducer, Phyllis Johnson, Music by, Mary Lou Bally and Clothes by Betty Wren. As we turn the dial to channel 5 we see a show that will interest every farmer. The Agriellltllral Review. directed by MI- Kell Luiz- president of the Illinois College Agri- cultural Center. Today he is talking on how to keep your hogss healthy. Richard Holms, who is Mr. Lutz's chief assistant is one of the world wide known biologists. Janet Brown is the first speaker. She is the 13b0l'3t0l'Y teacher which is experimenting with many diseases. We now change the station to channel 7. We come across a quiz show with Rita Krull, M. C. and her partner, who sponsors the show, Miss Lorraine Jewett. Miss Jewett owns several modeling agencies around the country. Miss Marilyn Ulbrich, who has studied in Paris, designs all of the creations you see on television. She sponsored many of the well-known shows. I
