GLENN WIEBE “Glennchen’s interests range from a girl to drama to “lemon to sports. He of the Zodiac ' s stars. His favourite subjects are history, Phys.Ed., chemistry and i SHAIBA KHAN Shaiba came to us in January in start a new life in Canada. She had a tout catching up, but missed out on February exams because of it. With her brains bit of luck she will pass the Grade XI course. 203 ETHEL WIEBE Ethel is a happy-go-lucky girl who enjoys singing and practicing for the operet likes watching basketball games. One of her aims is to learn to ski. ZAIDA KHAN Zaida is a lively, fun-loving gal who arrived from Trinadad just before Christm can hardly wait until summer comes to see some of our fine weather. MILDRED BERGEN Mil Is usually seen with her curling broom. She bears the battle scars of a friend. Monday mornings and messy lockers seem to be her downfall. She enjoys: DON DERKSEN Don is very active in basketball and orchestra. He especially enjoys riding his 160 Don does not like school and likes to take even unslated holidays. He is our able rep. NETTIE DRIEDGER Nettie is a happy gal and she lives in Greenfarm. She likes cleaning the biology Nursing is her plan for the future. She loves driving her sister ' s car. BETTY ANN DYCK B eHy ' s ambition is to be a ieacher. Her studious attitude compliments it? She watching basketball games and participating in sports. Her pet peeve is getting up morn i nn 3 BETTY MAY DYCK Betty’s favourite pastimes are sports, reading, sewing, and writing letters to a someone. She is very quiet until you get to know her and then she’s really quite cf COLLEEN DOELL After a year of cheerleading, she has decided to try basketball. Being short and c olleen gets run over by certain people quite often. Chemistry doesn’t seem to with her. 30

She is our rep to the literary committee. She enjoys reading. Future plans—nursing. GARTH JACKMANN “Ralph is very active in many “sports , which range from basketball to girls to soccer to girls. His favourite subject is Phys. Ed. This year you will see him on the basketball floor thrilling the crowd. ALBE RT KLASSEN Albert likes most sports and curling in the school schedule. Some of his better liked classes are German, Phys. Ed., PSSC, and chemistry. He dislikes homework and it is seldom done. Future — undecided. JEWEL KUHL Jewel is an active student with volleyball, the school newspaper, drama and playing her cello for the GWSO. She also finds time to write letters, play guitar and finish some of her schoolwork! JAKE PENNER Jake, coming to us from beautiful downtown Chortitz, likes Intramural sports His pastimes include evading homework and driving to Morden and back. Dislikes teache . Future — undecided. LYNETTE LOEWEN Lyn ' s activities include basketball, orchestra, senior choir, driver training, editing the yearbook, and doing homework. Her hobbies are collecting stamps and reading. Future — Phys. Ed. Instructor. PAMELA JO REIMER Pam’s personality attracts people. She is a vivacious girl and takes an active part in swimming (competitive, coaching, and teaching), basketball and volleyball. Her interests include crafts, sewing, reading, and social work. Her ambition is to attend university. LORI RIETZE Lori enjoys spots including basketball and volleyball. School is just a place to spend her time as we see by her marks. Wow! Queens and socials are fun too. BARRY SUDERMAN Barry enjoys most sports which includes curling in the school schedule. Barry Is an avid cycle fan and drives his own Honda. He usually has trouble getting his physics and maths done. His future is still undecided. 29

RAY DOELL Ray our friendly cyclist from Xl-R, finds homework and books bis pet peeves. In winter you ' ll find him on a ski-doo and in summer he ' ll be gone on his 305. DOROTHY ELIAS Dorothy hails from Haskett. Her favourite pastimes are reading, cooking, skating, and bowling. Her aim is to leave the spacious halls of Garden Valley Collegiate and become a teacher. JOCELYN ENNS Jocelyn is an active cheerleader. She tries hard in school but sometimes finds sleeping of greater value. Biology is important but a boy also requires a lot of attention. KAREN ENNS Karen is a fun loving girl who enjoys the great outdoors. Her future lies in teaching or social work. Other interests include music, orchestra, parties, and driving the car. MARILYN FAULKNER Marilyn’s future lies in becoming an educated beachcomber. In history, Marilyn will never go unnoticed. Her pet peeve is briefcases in front of her locker. LINDA GOERTZEN Linda comes from Reinfeld. She finds schoolwork easy and thus always has time to fool around. Favourite pastimes — driving car, reading and skating. Future plans — entering Teachers College. YVONNE HARDER Yvonne is a studious girl. She loves sports, and her specialty is horseback riding. Her pet peeve is childish boys. In the future she intends to become a nurse. BRIAN HILDEBRAND Brian is always lusty and cheerful. He Is full of jokes and funny remarks. His future is undecided. Brian is very industrious and participates in most school activities. DOLORES HILDEBRAND Dolores is a very cctive girl. She is our room rep. and has many smashing ideas. Loving singing, she is a member of the choir and has a part in the operetta. She plays volleyball and curls. BEV KUHL Bev ' s Interests lie in the male population. She is always combing her hair, “To get the kinks out . She Is an active cheerleader and just lives for those chemistry classes. 31
