GERALD REDEKOPP Gerald is active in our sports program. He plays on our famous soccer team an it immensely. He likes all subjects, but the homework he detests. TONY WIEBE Tony, a newcomer to this school, comes to Winkler from Elm Creek. He enjoys pating in most sports and is a fellow whom one can easily get along with. 202 KAREN WIEBE Main Interests — sports and lots of fun Pet Peeve — boring classes in school Activities — playing basketball, drama rep. Future Plans — school teacher MARILYN WIEBE Activities — playing basketball, Council rep. Pet Peeves — homework, German Hobbies — writing letters, spending a lot of time with a certain somebody Future — plans to attend university. JOHN BROWN John comes to us from Burwalde. He enjoys motorcycling, horse-back riding and old wrecked cars. His dislikes include all school subjects, therefore all homewo future is as yet undecided. REG DERKSEN Reg’s interests range from cars to cycles to some sports. He spends many winter curling. Reg deplores school, his only school interests being library periods. His is undecided. DOUG DYCK Doug s interests are broad, ranging from sports to cycles to cars. Doug detests but his better classes are I.A. and studies. He loves playing occasional pranl future is undecided. BEV FRIESEN Bev puts all the other Grade XI’s to shame with her zealous snow skiing. After schoo she plans to enter the more exciting field of journalism. Being Newspaper Publicity convener this year provides valuable experience for her. If ' it DON FUNK Don is our yearbook rep. He plays basketball and soccer but his special hobby is ' on an old car and writing poems. His pet peeve — riding on the bus. DAN GERBRANDT His school activities consist of I.S.C.F. and choir. He enjoys football and fishing. I and chemistry are his favourite subjects, but he detests literature. Future plans — te 28

n A:W JERRY FRIESEN TINA FROESE Tina hails from Reinfeld. She enjoys skating, driving, reading, and choir. Homework she deplores! She is always cheerful and ready to help a friend in need. MARIANNE FUNK A cheerful disposition plus an active interest in sports and choir make Marianne a likeable lass. Pet peeves — English classes, homework, and yearbook advertising. Future — Undecided. PAUL GOSSEN Paul takes an active interest in our sports program, especially basketball. He is our room rep to Student council. Though he is also on the I.S.C.F. committee he still manages to produce good marks. MARILYN H I EBERT Marilyn’s artistic touch is shown in many activities, such as writing poetry, playing piano, and “creating her own clothes. Her main dislike is weekends and she likes Siamese cats and a certain guy. MARINA KIRK Marina’s interests include sports, teaching her Sunday School class, and finding her weekends with one speci al person. She is also vice-principal in Young People’s. Her dislikes are reciting theorems. Her likes are . . . ? GEORGE KLASSEN George is teased about a certain lass he likes. Among his difficulties are Chem, PSSC, and Maths. His interests vary from girls to Yamaha to TV. JMht I-. KLAbbtN • ' our h ° dsome fellow from Haskett. History and Lit. are his favourite sublects, be with a double O ) 1 favourite sports are hockey and baseball. (Could hockey JAKE L. KLASSEN Jake although ambitious hates homework. He thinks time should be spent otherwise, especially weekends. His interests range from music to spectator sports to girls. JOAN KRAHN Joan comes to us from Reinland and greets us with a friendly hi every morning. Waiting for weekends is her specialty. She finds homework a chore. Her aim is to become an RN. 27

JIM H I EBERT We ' re sorry to say Nothing was said; So needless to say, Naught can be read. CATHY HILDEBRAND Cathy ' s many activities include being pianist for church and senior school choirs. She is our rep to the literary committee. She enjoys reading. Future plans—nursing. GARTH JACKMANN “Ralph is very active in many “sports , which range from basketball to girls to soccer to girls. His favourite subject is Phys. Ed. This year you will see him on the basketball floor thrilling the crowd. ALBE RT KLASSEN Albert likes most sports and curling in the school schedule. Some of his better liked classes are German, Phys. Ed., PSSC, and chemistry. He dislikes homework and it is seldom done. Future — undecided. JEWEL KUHL Jewel is an active student with volleyball, the school newspaper, drama and playing her cello for the GWSO. She also finds time to write letters, play guitar and finish some of her schoolwork! JAKE PENNER Jake, coming to us from beautiful downtown Chortitz, likes Intramural sports His pastimes include evading homework and driving to Morden and back. Dislikes teache . Future — undecided. LYNETTE LOEWEN Lyn ' s activities include basketball, orchestra, senior choir, driver training, editing the yearbook, and doing homework. Her hobbies are collecting stamps and reading. Future — Phys. Ed. Instructor. PAMELA JO REIMER Pam’s personality attracts people. She is a vivacious girl and takes an active part in swimming (competitive, coaching, and teaching), basketball and volleyball. Her interests include crafts, sewing, reading, and social work. Her ambition is to attend university. LORI RIETZE Lori enjoys spots including basketball and volleyball. School is just a place to spend her time as we see by her marks. Wow! Queens and socials are fun too. BARRY SUDERMAN Barry enjoys most sports which includes curling in the school schedule. Barry Is an avid cycle fan and drives his own Honda. He usually has trouble getting his physics and maths done. His future is still undecided. 29
