SCHOOL BOARD Probably few students are aware of the vital role which the school board hasin the operation of our school. The entire board consists of five men representing each of the six townships. These men are Earl Deibler, Monroe Good, Arthur Stubbs, Howard Spotts, and Clayton Good elected from Breclmock Township, James Hay, William Trope, Percy Weller, Harvey Overly, and Charles Thomas delegated from Caernarvon Township, Eugene Burkholder, John Willwerth, Paul Sweigart, Parke Dunlap, and Jacob Wise representing Earl Township, Ivan Witwer, William Eaby, Menno Eby, Roy Boley, and Theodore Sheaffer selected from East Earl Township, Alan Hunsicker, Albert Best, Dr. Louis Williams, Lester Schreiber, and Roy Hoober elected from New Holland Boro, R. S. Myers, R. C. Bucher, Jr., Roy Fritz, Michael Wenger, and Stanley Eckenroth delegated from Terre Hill Boro. These representatives are elected by the citizens every other year in November for a six year term, taking office in December. This means that not more than two new men are elected at one time. The duties of this board of men are to establish all school policies and the responsibility of the main- tenance and operation of this school. To do this efficiently, three committees are set up within the board. The Education and Finance Committee is responsible for securing all funds necessary to promote better education and to carry out all operations in the school. To incur smooth operation of all its duties, this group holds regular monthly meetings. The school building is maintained structurally by the Building and Maintenance Committee which meets only when especially necessary. As the name would imply, the Transportation Committee regulates the passage of students to and from school. They also map the bus routes and stops. Together these committees work to produce an efficient school system that will enable the students to gain and to use much knowledge. 9 I FA CULTY M Mrs. Bergstresser Mr. Bowman Mrs. Brandau Language Music Health Miss Blaker Mrs. Bowman Phys. C. Keller dt J. W Dean Ma. Potter's Kingdom was an original musical comedy written by two faculty members, Mr. Keller and Mr. Dean. Miss Smith assisted in accompanying the orchestra while Miss Mamula designed and executed the sets with the help of the stage craft club. Mr. Yost aided in the role of stage manager. The plot was of a cleaning woman, Ma Potter, who disapproved the violence typical of a play, decided to write a play of her own omitting all violence. The story takes place in the throne room of a medieval castle. This musical was put on entirely by the students of our school. In addition to the regular cast, a chorus, orchestra and a dance team, participated in the production. Ma Potter .........
