n -5 MARY CABELLO Girls Glee l 4, Dramotics lp Sewing Club 2. SENIDR CLASS 1954 The Senior Class of 1954 is one of the most out- standing classes ever to be graduated from Garden County High School. The members of this class have actively participated in music, clubs, athletics, and dramatics. Many have been on Honor Societies and have made the class a leading organization of G.C.H.S. Members of the class who have been on National Honor Society: Gloria McCord, Donna Roudebush, Stanley Tinkham, Norman Peterson, Carol Madison, and Wanda Burke. Those who have been honored for Quill and Scroll are: Karen Rentzsch, Wanda Burke, Joan Morrow, NormanPeterson, Micky Wilson, Ann Richards, and Marilyn Brown. Jack Vincent, Warren Shepherd, Allen Weatherwax, and Stanley Tinkham gained membership in National Athletics Scholarship Society. Chorus Eligible for Fine Arts Honorary Society were: Gloria McCord, Joan Morrow, Bonnie Dilley Bennett, Donna Roudebush, Warren Shepherd, Carol Madison, and Stanley Tinkham. Many of the class have been outstanding members of FFA, FHA, pep club, and bond Also they have con- tributed to the glee clubs and mixed choruses through- out the four years. Even tho there weren't very many boys in the Senior class they still contributed to the football team. Those on the team were: Boyd Billingsley, Stanley Tinkham, Jack Vincent, Allen Weatherwox, Warren She herd, Dallas Lake, and John Gillette. The most thriluling offensive action was the 75 yard run to pay dirt by Boyd Billingsley in the Sidney game. Coach Smith accredited this play as the finest executed during the season of 1950. Jack Vincent, Stanley Tinkham, Allen Weatherwox, and John Gillette were also on the basketball squad. Track and field athletics were: Stanley Tinkham, Jack Vincent, John Gillette, Allen Weatherwax, Warren Shepherd, and Boyd Billingsley.
