They are a member of the National Association of Stu- dent Councils, and strive to conduct their meetings in accordance with national standards. This year the Student Council has planned and discussed a number of worthwhile projects. Plans for a boys, and girls' social room may he put into effect this year. New bleachers and a cafeteria are projects for coming years. The Student Council led the observation of national holidays, and sponsored Achievement Day at CCHS. BOARD OF REGENTS Q 1-to 0-ani li I in MR. THAD PATRICK YELYA NI. NIUMFORD NIR HERBERT JOHNSON NIR. JOHN ROSS The Carden County High School lloard of Regents has three essential functions. These are planning. legislating, and evaluating. Planning consists of formulating the school policy in co-operation with the professional school personnel. Legislat- ing is approving the means by which the policy may be executed. Evaluating is appraising the work of the school and the professional leaders. One of the current improvements undertaken by the Roard of Regents is the purchase of one hundred sixty individual lockers for every member of the student body. They will be installed as soon as they are available. The president of the Board of Regents is Mr. Thad Patrick. Mrs. Lee Mumford is the secretary-treasurer. Mr. Herbert johnson, Mr. john Ross, and Mr. Lawrence Aufdengarten are the other members. Capable and well liked. the board continues to strive for better educational facili- ties and opportunities for the students of our community.
