The National Honor Society is a school organization for outstanding students in grades lO, ll and 12 of secondary schools. Membership in this society is based upon Scholarship, Character, Service, and Leadership. The National Honor Society is the only national school organization that en- courages and recognizes qualities of leadership, outstand- ing achievement, and conscientious endeavor in the American Youth. The National Honor Society is devoid of commercial- ism, and its policies are determined by a National Council of junior and senior high school principals. The G.C.H.S. faculty submitted the following students for lembership in this Honor Society: Seniors: Mona Lou Gatz, David Knight, and Kenneth Coy. Juniors: Norma Parris, and Lois Smith.
