S, 'Throughout their high school career they were willing to Work hard and accept roles of leadership. Some assets that Karla and Greg possess are: good academic ach- ievementg a cooperative attitude with students, faculty, and administrationg dedication to opti- mal achievementg and friendship to their peers and people in their community. Karla and Greg have a positive attitude toward life. This posi- tive attitude coupled with their friendly and help- ful spirit has made the best choice for Best All Around for 1976-77. - . Studying her bookkeeping. s T7 'G We caught Junior one day practicing his part of climbing the ladder to success. linda Schwartz and junior Herrera were chosen by the teachers as the two people most likely to succeed in the future. The teachers realize that the future has many new challenges that will have to be faced. They believe that Linda and Junior will endeavor to meet these challenges and do their best to succeed. These two people will not back away from difficult tasks. They have the ability and desire to excel in each of these tasks and to be successful in their efforts.

Pl 1 P Ixy fu U I fl i n l K i -L. ,.. ,i 1:2 55' 7 2 ' 'Q - ..- - .3-, Because of their athletic ability and their ex- tra desire to excel, Debra and Steve have re- ceived the honor of Most Athletic for the 19 76- 77 school year. They have each put forth a special effort to boost the Garden City Athlefic Teams to the zenith in competition. As a Fresh- man, Debra traveled with the varsity basketball squad, and was a starting guard her remaining three years. She has made quite an impression on the other players and on the visiting teams. She has received several All- Tourney awards through- out the years. Debra also played tennis during her high school years. She lettered in tennis her Sophomore year and has received several out- standing awards since then. Steve participated in all the athletic organi- zaiions sponsored at Garden City during his high school career. I-le played football for the Bear- kats and was a nominee for Hero his Sr. year. He played basketball and was a captain this year. Steve had the desire, and put it to use in track. He excelled to Regional in the 880 yd. dash several times and won many ribbons at other track meets. Steve also participated in tennis.
