Campus displays which centered around the theme How the West Was Won brought about a great amount of involve- ment by students, faculty, and ad- ministrators during fall homecoming week. Activities included a Brown and Gold Day, a Phrase that Pays Day and a Western Outfit Day. The week was rounded out by exhib- its built by various campus organiza- tions. flj Lambda Alpha Epsilon won second prize with their display entry. Q25 Faculty and ad- ministrators such as Dr. Gary Holmes, Dr. Tom Saffell, and Mr. Dennis Elam put forth much effort in making the campus look Wes- terny during Western Outfit Day. f3J Smiles bedecked the faces of Queen Pam Byer, her escort Mike Young, and flower girl and crown bearer Nancie and Matt Turner. C45 The Short Branch Saloon built by Juco Players captured first prize in display competition.

During Festival Week, various activi- ties such as Hug-A-Buster Day and T-shirt Day were held. Bridget Rhoades and Ben Tiberghien served as flower girl and crown bearer for the Coronation ceremony.
