Invitation to nationals highlighted the 1976 Cross Country season for three runners. Mark Luna, Gary Livingston, and Erin Ran- kin competed at Farmingdale, New York, in mid-November where they were clocked for their best times of the season. As Coach Aldridge stat- ed in the Garden City TELEGRAM, Being able to qualify three GCCC L ll.-1. munrr-uaiuimnu-mr.: su freshman for national cross-country is quite an accompIishment. Al- though the entire team missed going to nationals because of one point at the Region VI qualifying meet, over- all they did fare well. Other team members were: Merlyn Spare, Mar- lyn Spare, Randy Shellito, and Ran- dy Morgan. Clj Randy Morgan runs to the finish line. C23 You can't get me to run to Alaska!
