The purpose of this honorary fraternity is to stimulate in- terest in dramatics and to serve as a reward for worthy efforts in participation in plays. Plays and reports on ar- ticles of dramatic art constitute the activities of the regular bi-monthy meetings. A The fraternity sponsored a group of one-act plays, The Valiant, His Japanese Wife, and Speaking to Father, which were presented March 11 and 12. The first meeting of- this fraternity was held February 1, 1932, at which time the following officers were elected: Lester Maxiield .............. - ........... As you turn the leaves of the 1932 Brown and Gold you will note how student life in the Garden City Junior College has conceived to be a scene in the great dawn of education. College life is only an act of that greater play and the activities of our school, a still smaller part-a scene. It has been the aim of the staff to reproduce the stage of the past year and follow through the episodes our now closing scene. We hope that you will find within these pages something of the gaiety and beauty that we have found in our play. -The Editor. . -fs 24 CONTENTS ACT I STAGE AND CAST ACT I I ORGANIZATIONS ACT I I I SCENES AtI1Ietics Snapshots V VV V GAR DEN CITVS SPLENDID SCHOOLS HXIIIIIRISIUHI 4lzn1'liM4l Scllmvl Ymwzltimlzxl .A1Il'if'UlTllI'l' .Tunes Sm-Imul. She is an admirable stu- dent and a refreshing friend. She is active in the French Club, a member of the Delta Psi Omega Dramatics Frater- nity, a member of the Student Council, and a valuable Sophomore. Her interests in music and dramatics find her a place in college performances, while her natural self gains her recognition in her everyday activities. Marion Salmans is president of the Sophomore class, president of the Student Council, and an active supporter of the various college activities. His sociable attitude and in- cessant friendliness make him welcome at all times and places, and his keen wit and sportive manner add to his at- tractiveness.
