Jet and Pond Creek tied for first place in the conference. Garber went to Jefferson as the first game winning with a score of 14-8. Nash came to Garber the next week being beaten by the Wolverines with a score of 21-19. The game was close as the score indicates. The Wolverines went to Hunter the next week winning by a score of 9-5. The game between the Helena five and the Wolverines was a victory for Garber. 23-10 was the score as the final whistle blew. Pond Creek was the only game lost so far as the season is on. Pond Creek forged ahead in the first quarter and we never got the lead. The score at the end of the last quarter was 22-12. The Garber Woolverines went to Medford the next week .adding another victory to the list by winning with a score of 32-18. The Wolverines added another notch in their stock by taking a game from Tonkawa. 23-15 was the score as the final whistle blew. The game was played here. . Before this game was played there were four teams tied for first place. Deer Creek and Garber being two of them. Garber defeated the Deer Creek flve leaving Garber, Jet and Pond Creek tied for first place. The score of this game was 22-10. At the tournament held in Lamont, Garber nosed out Medford by 32-17 I and the second round lost to Pond Creek 16-13. Jet won the tournament. Il.
