V 9,9 .1,,1... ii Q ' LI , ' 3,3 ., A is 1 D HISTORY 0F THE CLASS OF 1925 i 3 The History of the Class of 1925, of Garber High School, is in this wise: if.. On the fifth day of September in the year of.f1921, there entered into this Land ' of Learning thirty-five seekers of Knowledge. MSome came up from the 'eighth V' grade, some were fresh from the country, and some from other halls of instructions. V' The ones that came up from the eighth grade in other halls of instructions' were: ' . Marguerite Moan, James Devoracek, Opal A Conn, Kenneth Evans, Clarence Daughetee, Opal Kretchmar, Lucy Tutwiler, William Taft, Lawrence' Minge, Demmis Macy, Austin Beckwith, Nellie'kKlement, Eugene Dolan, Duane Baker, . Eddie Krivohlavek, Gertie Klophenstine-Letcher, Thelma Wells and 'William Matteson. Those that were fresh from the country were: Velma and Clyde Bruce, William ' and Ralph Duncan, Carl Simms, Ladd .Vencl, Ruby and Pearl Miler, Clarence Davis, 1' Hannah Janssen, Claude Workman, James Gibson, Bertha Green, Mary Vencl, Sophie 35: Schriber, Leona Wood'en. f i . As we entered this Land we were received with wide welcoming and rejoicing by if those whose duty it was to lead us up the slippery steps, we were timid and green but eager to grasp every opportunity that came our way, and show the world what' a Z success we could make. v 4 At the close of the first year we had the honor of being the first class to grad- ' uate from the Junior High School. M V q' Qn with the nextkyear in this Land of Learning we found more success. When : wc encountered stumbling blocks we united our efforts and pushed on to our next year. At the end of our Sophmore year we found a large number of our class leaving be- ii' cause' of various reasons. Thus decreased the number in our 'Junior year we found ' to be only twenty-six in ,the Land of Learning. N il We had a few new, members that ,ioined us at that time who Were: Mable Boyer, f. from Enid, Edythe Birdsall, from Goodwcllg Lois Toben, from Texasg Alta LeForcc, ' from Enidg and Doris Rosenberger, from Garber. ' While we were Juniors we were commented on our brilliancy and remarkable X : enthusiasm. Failure is a word we have never met with. J So we passled on our way through the Land of Plenty and Promise into thc ' grounds of the Senior Class. 1' Now this being the fourth year in the history of this class of 1925, we can ad- in, mit it has been of much hard labor. and but little resting byithe waysideg for pre- gf parations are being made for us to take our final departure from this landrf ,.,- ' This year two more members joined us, Frances Weiser, from Montana and it Nina Fager from Guthrie. At this time we find in the Land of Learning twenty- R, three seniors that have the honor of being named in 'this class history. They are: L. M1'. Adams, Sponsor. Mabel Boyer, Alma Houser, Edythe Birdsall, Frances'Weiser, it Lois Toben, Rose Baker, Marguerite Moan, Doris Rosenberger, Mary .Vencl,-Nina 'f Fager, Allen Daniels,W,QlenVCroft. William Taft, Ladd Vencl, Otho Sparks, Lawrence 5, Minge, Glen Goelewr,,,,Eddie Krivohlavek, James Devorack, Clarence Davis, William ' Duncan, Ralph Duncan, James Gibson and Carl Simms. Four years has this class of 1925 so-journed in the Land and gathered in large portions the fruits from the Tree of Knowledge. Now we must depart and each go to a seperate way to lands that we know not.. SQ .
