Pep Week 1. Then I woke up, and here I am. 2. Mounting this thing is tougher than I thought. 3. Here is what four years at Garber will do to you. 4. There's gotta be a way out! 5. I WANT A COOKIE! 6. Hello, down there. 7. On your mark, get set. STOP! 8 Mr. Bird's assistant? 9. Oh, do I have to? Pep Week was held on the week of the Garber vs. All Saints Football Game. The activities started Tuesday with a tricycle race with Dan Danks taking home top honors for the sophomores. Wednesday was slave day in which the guys slaved from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. Wednesday was also pile-on- the-island day. The seniors were victorious in packing the most bodies on one island. The action packed event on Thursday was the leg contest. The winning leg, which had an autographed cast encasing it. belonged to the proud owner, Mark Stasinski. Friday's special issue was Garber High's version of the Dating Game. (Actually, it was not much different.) The lucky winners, who for the first time in their lives were assured a date, were freshmen Jean Doriean and Gerry Hunter, sophomores Kelly Hull and Darren Simpson, juniors Nadine Adcock and the mystery man, and seniors Theresa McNally and Larry Jacobs. Each couple was to attend the D.J. dance after the football game. The fun-filled week closed with a decisive victory over All Saints which gave Garber its second undefeated season in history. ii
