v UrilLLJy 1 A. 1 lUjS Hypcrtensc in coats and ties, the perspiring freshmen arrive. They unpack and neatly arrange their sterile rooms, then walk the halls, inspect the faces, trace the accents. They 'yes sir' and 'no sir' keeping to themselves the judgments and opinions they will later unthinkingly proffer. Occasionally those first days in a football game or bull-session, someone makes a grand-stand play — then worries about how it was accepted. The irreverent and easy going have their day as heroes of a sort, before joining the catalogues of forgotten names, hnpatience is cloaked in gentility. Later in the week, upperclassmcn co?ne to register in shorts and sweat-shirts; with a carefree indifference they re-establish their sway. ' I L I A

the one and the many Daily through the buildings and down the streets of Gannon College move some twenty-two hundred students, teachers, wives, workers and friends. Individuals — each with a face, outlook and expression of his own — share a life and an experi- ence which make of the many, one. In these pages we record the many faces and lives and the one experience of life at Gannon which they share.
