DIVISION OF PURE AND APPLIED SCIENCE The Division of Pure and Applied Science has as its goal the education of the student in regard to his relationship to the physical world about him. In more particular terms the Division assists each student in acquiring an understanding of basic scientific prin- ciples for professional or graduate studies in the fields of chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics and engineering.
