otm amtii) The Division of Social Sciences aims to develop the social aspects of the students it serves; it seeks to impart a working knowledge of the principles of the social sciences, and a disposition to apply and live by them ; it encourages a knowledge of controversial social questions, critical evaluation of the conflicting arguments, and asssumption of an informed position effectively expressed. Finally, it is the purpose of the division to stimulate useful social and political activity in the com' munity on the part of its students.
