At the beginning of the year we had thirteen in our class. Two of our recent class- mates returned to our school. Charlotte Slater joined us from Fostoria but recently she left us. As a means of making money, some members of our class sold stationery from which the class received a substantial amount. We also had a bake sale. Most of the members of our class have been with us since we entered high school. Mary Jane Speaks joined us while we were Freshmen and Elinor Houck came in our Sophomore year. At the end of the first semester, the following were on the honor roll: Paul Lay- mon, Elinor Houck, and Mary Jane Speaks. The Junior Class presented a play entitled Bringin' Home the Bacon, on March the 16th. All the members took part in the play. Later in the Spring, May 4th, the Juniors entertained the Seniors with the Annual Prom. Pugu' Tmrniy-111 Vcc

Don, the president of this class, is a well-fixed dealer in real-estate with his central office in Cincinnati. He was always a clear thinker which has been a great aid in this business. Mary Yeager had only one ambition, if I remember correctly, and that was to be a stenographer, not just the average, but one of the best. At the present time she has a very trusted stenographic position in the F. B. I. She is quite proud of her position and, too, her life has been a great suc- cess. Harry has become an excellent electrician and is employed by the Westinghouse Company in Pittsburgh. The most surprising thing about him is that he still is enjoying single bliss. Elizabeth went to Mansfield Business School and after completing her course there accepted a position at the Goodyear Company in Akron as a private secretary. She has been there for almost ten years and hopes to make this her lifetime occupation. Ronald's life has been one filled with excitement and adventure. He has j,ust completed the design for a new racer with which he will attempt to break his own speed record. He is quite sure this will be the fastest racer ever built and is waiting patiently until the day arrives to prove his belief. Time has now dimmed the pictures of these my friends and class- mates, but I am sure time will never dim their accomplishments whether great or small. M ary Farmer. Page Twenty-two

Sophomore Class The Sophomore class met September the fourteenth with Mrs. Pinkley as our advisor and elected the following officers: Dale Butler, President, Eleanor Steinmetz, Vice President, Marilyn Wilson, Secretary, and Wanda Carter, Treasurer. On September twenty-second, we gave an initiation party for the Freshmen. We are proud that every girl in our class is a member of the Girl Reserves and every boy belongs to the Hi-Y. We are proud, too, of how we are represented on the basket ball team with Carl Gorsuch on the Varsity, James Beach, Bob Biefnes, Dick Hillier, Eugene Smith, James Lynch, and Dale Butler on the Reserves. Beverly Carpenter is a cheer leader. During the year We sold food at the basketball games and had bake sales to re- plenish our treasury. The following people were on the Honor Roll at the end of the first Semester: Mar- ilyn Wilson, Alice Hellivvig, Dick Hillier, and James Lynch. Dale Butler Ixfljjl' Tll'!'Ilf1ll-f0N7' l
