tug.. What the State Inspector Says About Our School On September 26, 1944, Mr. R. M. Garrison of the Department of Edu- cation at Columbus inspected our school. All departments, instruction, li- brary, program of studies, rooms, building and grounds were reported as most Satisfactory. Administration and supervision were especially com- mended. In making general comments, Mr. Garrison said, The school is Well organized. The quality of the instruction is satisfactory. The library is well located and adequate for the needs of the school. The instructional equipment in the school is of excellent quality. The program of studies is about as Wide as it is possible to offer in a school with a small enrollment. The Gambier High School is on the list of iirst grade schools approved by this Department. In making recommendations Mr. Garrison suggested, Each year should find a number of new books added to the collection Clibraryl. Addi- tional visual aids should be provided for the Work in biology. Maps and charts are needed for the work in social science. We hope you will be able to strengthen the music program. These recommendations, we may add, are in line with the policy of the present administration. Under prevailing world conditions We feel our school is doing exceedingly Well. Page Twelve
