vanp' www Q . 'fly F ,yrf-5,5 .432 Qi.,HZwQ ,,,qFL.,L?.l,-:,. - I-Hug, ' Q History of Gambier Schools for the Past Five Years These years cannot be seen as a period of rapid progress or great accomplishment. Throughout the state this period has been a difficult time in which to maintain the standards of education previously attained, yet our school has been kept to a high standard and some progress has been made. At the beginning of this period we were running behind financially and were unable to meet our payrolls when due. Now our budget is balanced and we are in a position to em- ploy good teachers and maintain good service throughout the system. Our school ranks high with other schools of the county and the state in teaching staff, courses of study, ath- letics, etc. Our rating after a recent inspection by the State Department of Education was good in all departments. In the past five years we have graduated about one hundred students of which number about thirty-five are now in the services of their country all over the world. May we all renew our interest in education and provide the best that we can possibly afford in the future. Mr. Charles Bell, President Board of Education. Pa lf Nmr
