Dedication The Piper has traditionally been dedicated to a member of the teaching staff. This year, however, we felt the most outstanding contribution to our school was made, not by a teacher, but by a student. It is for this reason that we have chosen to break a long-standing tradition and dedicate the ’64 Piper to a member of the Senior class. Miss Antje Zahn. Antje came to us as an exchange student from Germany under the newly organized Galway chapter of the American Field Service Program. As a member of this program and as a representative of her country, it was Antje's responsibility to help promote friendship and understanding between our countries. This is, understandably, a difficult job, requiring a distinctive kind of person, one possessing intelligence, wisdom, sincerity, and maturity. Antje is such a person and we are grateful to her for giving us the opportunity to learn about her country, Germany, and its people. In dedicating the '64 Piper to Antje, it is our hope that its pages will hold many pleasant reminders of the year she has spent with us and will be a token of the friendship, respect and admiration which all of us have for her.
