Hansen, D. Smith, A. Morris Seniors ( ass JI is lory In September of '56, an assorted group of about 55 students comprised the biggest freshman class up to that time. Mr. Sutton and Mr. Lukasiewicz, our homeroom wardens, tried to keep us under control. As sophomores the class members added their skill and knowledge to the various sports and activities throughout the school year. Through hard work on everyone’s part we became Class Champions at the annual field day held in May. To prepare for the coming year we elected our junior class officers: President - Roger Pilon Vice-President - Stanley Watrobski Secretary - Lynn Denison Treasurer - Bill Nusser Late in the year, we gained a valuable contribution to the welfare of the class in the form of our new teacher and adviser, Mr. Griesemer. As juniors, under the instruction of Mr. Griesemer, we put together and had published the '59 Piper, one of the finest yearbooks that Galway has ever seen. Terry Wolfe, Editor-in-Chief, and Janice Boehne, Business Manager, worked hard to accomplish this, with Bonnie Storer and her crew bringing in the necessary financial aid from advertising. Our Junior Prom, Emerald Ecstasy, transformed the gym into a beautiful, living sea. It was a great success with Barbara Majewski becoming the beautiful queen. Stanley Watrobski and Jean Butchkowski represented our class on the Student Council. Janice Boehrte, Gerry Boshart, Lynda McChesney, Roger Pilon, and Bonnie Storer were chosen for the National Honor Society. We ended the year with the Junior-Senior Banquet. Our all important senior year is under the guidance of our advisers, Miss Blessing and Mrs. Estus. JOHN JACOBS is in charge of the loudspeaker and the microphones. He is now employed by WPTR as a sound effects man. In charge of entertainment are DONNA EVERSON and RONALD KLEMENTOWSKI, members of the Ring-ling Bros. Circus. DONNA is a combination trapeze artist and animal trainer, and RONNY is the replacement for Bobo the Clown. CAROL McCONCHIE, a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra, was chosen to provide soothing music. She recently made headlines with her new invention, a portable piano for her Hillman Minx. KAREN BRINKMAN has been chosen to costume our entertainers. KAREN is presently employed by McChesney's feed store to design burlap bags. TERRY WOLFE is in charge of hair styling. He was chosen on the merits of his new beauty salon in Paris where he has astounded the industry with his ability to dye hair. Programs, napkins, and other paper props are being provided by KURT KILMER. KURT is now the owner of 200 tractor-trailers which haul paper from his multi-billion dollar paper mill. Time passes and the night of the reunion is here. A foot specialist and an inventor have made their entrance. JEAN BUTCHKOWSKI, the specialist, recently found a new form of plastic surgery to make people’s feet larger. Now, heavier people can have their weight evenly distributed. RAYMOND KNIZEK, the inventor, has devised foam rubber heels which last a lifetime for people who like to walk quietly. A very distinguished looking gentleman has just come in. Wait a minute! It’s Prof. GEOFFREY FREER. He is quite famous as the principal of a well-known international school of learning. His revolutionary approach to education includes soda and popcorn venders in every room. Entering now is another couple. The gentleman seems extremely well attired. Well, no wonder, it’s ROBERT PALMATEERI Probably most of you know that he was voted the Best Dressed Man in America.” His special attire, a dungaree suit, has become the latest teen-age fad. He-is escorting the owner of the world's largest collection of colored guppies, JOAN WIDMANN. rop jecy A black limousine has now pulled up at the door. JOAN COOK, our first woman President, steps out. BARBARA BYLEBYL is also a passenger. As you know, she just set a record for giggling 24 straight hours about absolutely nothing. Another record setter, VINA STOCKHEIM, is trying to control BARB. VINA has broken the all-time record for flagpole sitting. Most of the guests are seated and our M. C., DICK HUNTER, takes the floor. It is not very well publicized but DICK has a flat in Greenwich Village. He has just read a cable from JOSEPHINE HERSEY. She is in Africa and regrets that she can't be with us. I understand that she is a top nurse and scientist working on a new formula. It is for the cure of small cases of athlete’s foot prominent in the pygmy population. GERRY BOSHART, proud mother of four boys, was voted 1970's Mother of the Year. She has introduced the girl who was recently elected Female Farmer of the Year, LYNN DENISON. LYNN says that she owes her success to that tycoon, DENNIS WOODS. A Pulitzer prize poem written by PAT JOHNSON is read by EDNA FULLER, writer for Little Lulu” comics. EDNA then introduces TOM SCOTT, police chief of the city of Schenectady. My goodness! There is a commotion in the back of the room. HELEN KONOPEUS is being helped from the room by ARTHUR ARMITAGE, heavyweight wrestling champion of the world. I would guess that HELEN is suffering from the ill effects of her first trip into outer space. Our reunion is almost at an end. ROGER PILON is singing the last song of the evening. ROGER now serving with the armed forces secured a pass to be with us. As the last bars of African Sheep Dog near, I wish to say - Wait a minute! ROGER has lost his voice. This is terrible! That eminent brain surgeon, TOM McDOWELL, rushes to his side. SALLY STEPHENS, known in hospitals throughout the world, steps up - ROGER is in good voice again. SALLY'S cure is simply a smell of burning sulfur and two shakes of a dead rat. Tragedy is avoided and our reunion closes with a sigh of satisfaction.
