The student council members were Bertha Fuller and Edward Jacobs. As Freshmen the only activity the majority of the class participated in was the annual Yorker Club convention. In 1954 the convention was held in New York City and needless to say most of the Yorkers attending it had a wonderful time. At the beginning of our Sophomore year, Joan Majewski joined our class. Mrs. Fahey was our homeroom teacher. The student council members were Bertha Fuller and Gerald Ahnert. John Morack and Andie Zajaceskowski were tapped for the newly formed chapter of the National Honor Society in Galway Central School. As the result of the field day that took place in June of that year the Sophomore class received the Annual Field Day Champions banner for scoring the highest number of points in the activities in which we participated. Miss Danzis (later Mrs. Lukasiewicz) was our advisor in our Junior year. The following were chosen as class officers: President ---------------Andie Zajaceskowski Vice President------------------Dorothy Coon Secretary-----------------Elaine Kaczmarczyk Treasurer - - — - — - — Betty Jane Armitage Student Council - Bertha Fuller and Wayne Arnold. The new members of the National Honor Society were: Betty Jane Armitage and Elaine Kaczmarczyk. Our activities for this year included a roller skating party and a dance. The activity the Juniors enjoyed most was the Junior Prom. The traditional yearbook, The Galway Piper, was published by the class. The Senior class has 37 members and our class advisor is Miss Halloran. The class officers are as follows: President-------------------------- Allan Stafford Vice President - - — — -----------Dorothy Coon Secretary--------------------Elaine Kaczmarczyk Treasurer ----------------Betty Jane Armitage Student Council - Bertha Fuller and Wayne Arnold.
