Senior Class Prophecy I, Madame Zaza, gaze into the future to the year 1961 and find the members of the Class of ‘51 engaged in the following occupations. Here we find Carol Reagan running regular rates at Reagan’s Rumbling Roller Rink. We guessed this would happen after seeing Reag’s snazzy exhibitions at Healy's Rink, Perth, New York. Ah-h-h now we see Chuck Sherman operating a big dairy farm. After chores we find him racing at the Menand's Speedway where he has already won three loving cups and one loving girl. 0 I see Barbara Snyder, chief carpenter in the Galway Building and Supply Company. Her apptitude tests foretold us of her great mechanical ability. Whiz-z-z---there go Nellie and her man flying over the hills in their new jetmobile. A little more exciting and dangerous than riding on a certain blue Harley Davidson, eh Nell? As we approach the Knolls Laboratory at Niskayuna, New York, we see Thomas Cwiakala, President of the G. E. Thomas, was appointed President because of his outstanding invention, the ultra-violet, atomic ray-o-matic gun. This is so simple that even Flash Gordon can operate it. Robert Stangle is now private secretary to Eleanor Roosevelt. His business training at Galway Central enabled him to apply for this job and win it against such stiff competition. Splash! Here we are at Boshart’s Beach for Bathing Beauties located at Cummings Pond. June has made this pond over into a fabulous resort where people come from all over the world to view the Galway beauties, (ha! Ha!) Mert Suss is now running Madame Blimpo’s reducing salon. Mert prescribes the diet which worked so well for her in G. C. S. Nothing but pie, cake, ice cream, candy and potato chips with a little gum on the side. Eina Conde is now owner of the Mil-Rock Dude Ranch. Her experience with horses has paid off very well. Ronald Edwards is now captain of a hockey team composed of midgets. This team attracts large crowds to Galway Lake during the winter months. The success of this team has turned Galway into a large winter resort. Bertha Shoutis is seen singing major parts at the Metropolitan Opera where she has replaced such famous stars as Rise Stevens and Lily Pons. Bud Hansen just couldn’t leave Galway Central. He has become head of the Mathematics department of this huge Central school after Mr. Sutton’s retirement. Bud always was a whiz at higher mathematics. Eleanor Bezio is now running the Bezio Auto Court, a high class motel which overlooks scenic Galway Lake. I, Madame Zaza, see the Class of ’51 successful in all their enterprises as well as the future classes who will graduate from Galway Central. 12
