During this Softool year, the Galway P. .meetings. The officers of the year were: President: Mrs. Frederick Baker, First Vice-President: Mrs. John Wlntersteen, Second Vice-President: Bryan Simmons, Treasurer: Mrs. James Donnan, Secretary: Mrs. Bernard Fitzgerald. In October we enjoyed a tflflk on kindergartens by Miss Etdisl Roff. In November we held our annual auction of farm produce and canned goods. In December, Mr. and Mrs. Follett showed us color movies of their trip through ths West. In January, Mr. Willard Jones, Supt. of Schools In Ballston Spa, spoks on I'he present Educational system. In Februaryj we held our annual Founders Day Banquet at West Milton and also celebrated our 20th year as a P. T. A. In March, the Introduction to Business Class presented a skit. In April, County Judge Richard Sherman talked on Juvenile Court and the Youth Commission and election of officers was held. In May, the officers were Installed, the same officers holding over. During the year the P. T. A. sponsored the Boy and Girl Scout troops, held two Pie Parties. One of these was for the benefit of the band. We gave Mr. Simmons money for the school library. We served a dinner for the Dairyman's League. Members of the P. T.. A. have worked hard to further school Central- ization plans. In ' J rll, we held a 'Penny sale. Boy's State Delegate spending money for his trip. The P. T. A. also gave ths We feel that we have had a most successful year and have accomplished a great deal. Florence Fitzgerald, Sec. STUDENT COUNCIL Again this year, the Student Council consists of eight members, a boy and girl representative from each class. These representatives are as follows: Freshmen: Sophomores: Juniors: Seniors: Norma Sherman John Baker Susan Hansen Sherman Clark; Olive DajJlnett David Fitzgerald Euphemla Shattuck Jack Eaton The duty of the Student Council Is to settle any disputes which may arise In school between the teachers and students.- Any problem which may arise Is dlsouse-ed by the council and a proper solution Is found. The Council also chooses the movies for assembly and has charge of handling the milk for the students at noon. The officers of the Student Council are: President: Jack Eaton VlcefrPresldent: Euphemla Shattuck Secretary: Susan Hansen Treasurer: Olive Dablnett
