SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In September l95U, twenty-tour green Freshmen got aboard to take a long boat ride through high school. At the start of the first part ot our journey was Miss Oppenhiem, our sponsor, to go along with us. As we got aboard one by one she named each of us, lim Beechy, Laura Bone, Dee Brown, Sue Brown, Carolyn Clark, lim Darland, Betty Donahue, Oneta Erwin, Dick Fickle, Kathy Greer, Bob Gillam, Nancy Hart, Charlie Hunt, Carol Hodgson, lane Hosier, lean Hosier, Marilyn Iohnson, Bill Patterson, Iudy Porter, Loudell Rockwell, Russell Scott, Richard Stover, Torn Wilson, and Ioe Wisler. As we started to leave we elected Marilyn johnson, president, Ioe Wisler, vice-president, Loudell Rockwell, treasurer, Russell Scott, secretaryg Dee Brown, reporter. On our journey we had some special events which were freshmen initiation, Sunshine initiation, class party, Sweet- heart Ball, and a biology tour to Turkey Run. We stopped our boat for a rest, then it was time to go on through our Sophomore year. We again had to elect new students to help so we elected Iim Beechy, president, Laura Bone, vice presi- dentg Marilyn Iohnson, secretary and treasurer: Tom Wilson, reporter, and Dale Kingseed as our sponsor. In the middle of our trip Dale Kingseed had to go help Uncle Same so to take his place was Mr. Bojda. As we went along, Richard Stover, Loudell Rockwell, and Carol Hodgson decid- ed not to finish the trip with us. We still went on with our trip, so we ordered our class rings, had a class party, and Sunshine convention. To refill one place Iim DeWitt wanted to go along with us but still three more got oH. They were jean Hosier, Oneta Erwin, and Bill Patterson. To go on with our trip we decided that Bill Shipley would help us through this year with Tom Wilson as president, Laura Bone, vice president, Iudy Porter, treasurerp Marilyn Iohnson, sec- retary. To keep us going we had our Iunior and Senior reception, autumn prom, and our class play l-Ienpecked Husband , and Betty Donahue was queen oi the Sweetheart ball. Bob Gillam and lane Hosier decided to get oft and let us go by ourselves. As we pulled into the last station to end our trip we had our sponsors, Mr. and Mrs. Zieg, Tom Wilson, presidentg Laura Bone, vice president, Sue Brown, treasurerg and Marilyn johnson, secretary. We stopped long enough to go to the Harvest Moon Prom, had our pictures taken at Adamsville, had our Class Play, guidance day, and Sunshine Supper for the girls. From our crew members, Nancy Hart was our Halloween Queen and Marilyn Iohnson, Sweetheart Ball Queen. The ones leaving us in our senior year were Dee Brown, ludy Porter and Iim Darland. It was about time for our journey to be over and as we were getting off the boat Mr. and Mrs. Zieg called out Nancy Hart, Sue Brown, Betty Donahue, Kathy Greer, Marilyn Iohnson, Carolyn Clark, Laura Bone, Dick Pickle, joe Wisler, Charlie Hunt, Tom Wilson, lim Beechy, Iim Dewitt and Russell Scott.
