Executive Officer Commander M. O. Geary Commander Mervin O. Geary is our Executive Officer and the right hand man of the skipper. When ever there was a job to be done, he was 'rthere withthat vitality and drive which was a challenge to all of us. He often found it necessary to call upon his Lmderstanding and experience, acquired through many years of dedicated service to his country and fellow man, to solve the problems we encountered in the Mediterranean. Without the help of his per- sonal guidance, GALVESTON could nothave achieved the high degree of competence she had on this cruise.
