These men will finish their final year of college in 1968 and become com- missioned officers. The midshipmen were trained in all phases of operating a man-of-war like GALVESTON at sea. The purpose of this training cruise was to help prepare these young men for the challenge that lies be- fore them. Be it a fantail frolic . or a special dinner on the mess decks, it ' was always an interesting experience.
