The equipment tended by the men of E Division ranges from power production equipment, motors, batteries, and washing machines, to telephones, movie projectors, and gyro compasses. E Division earned a fine reputation among the other ships of the SIXTH Fleet as a hard working group of men willing to help others out when they need it. Many times their talents were called upon to give assistance in rewinding motors , trouble shooting gyro compass problems, or any other of an endless number of jobs done by electricians.
