In this modern age of radar, lookouts are still important. Radar isn't effective at certain altitudes and distances, and it can also be fooled, so there will always be a place in the Navy- for lookouts. During this cruise, GALVESTON's lookouts were busy spotting and identifying the Russian surface, air, and subsurface craft that dogged SIXTH Fleet operations. First Row: R. Daggett, G.
