They co-operated whole-heartedly in all things, worked harder, and entered into athletics and many other extra-cur- ricular activities. Their outstanding social event at the year was the Sophomore Dance, held in December.

V ice-President Joelle Lemke .... --- Secretary and Treasurer As the cold grey dawn streaked across the sky on September 5, l947, the Freshmen prepared for their annual initiation. The seniors were at school waiting to greet them, paddles in hand. The biggest event of their school career was over at noon. From that day on they tried to please the upper classmen. On No- vember 7, they held their first dance in honor of the seniors, who had been so kind to them during the first few weeks of school. lt was a blue-jean dance and everyone came dressed for the occasion. They showed good sportsmanship and talent in their achievements throughout the year, and from their ranks we except some good students, athletes, and musicians.
