JUNIOR HIGH ACTIUITTES THE BANQUET The sixteenth annual junior High Banquet was given by the seventh grade for the eighth grade and faculty, April 26, 1941. A farm theme was carried out with appropriate decorations. The welcome was given by Shirley Stoneking, president of the seventh grade and the response was given by Herman Lohafer, president of the eighth grade. Other speeches were given by Donna Miller, Charles Ewoldt and Joanne Hansen. Entertainment was furnished by a girls trio-Darlene Albers Mary Anne Kahl and Lorene Terryg a tap dance by Meredith Whitehouse and a cornet solo by Orville Friedrichsen. After a delicious dinner the group was taken to the picture show. MAUNT HE'l'l'Y The junior High Play Aunt Hetty was presented by the junior High pupils, December l8, l942, under the direction of Miss Calef. JUNIOR HIGH SPORTS The junior High girls' .basketball team, coached by Miss Chick and Mr. Fodness, entered the Nemaha Tournament, March 27th, 28th and 29th. They won the tournament for the third successive year. MUSIC There are now four junior High students in the high school band. They are Mary Anne Kahl, Meredith Whitehouse, Shirley Stoneking, and Elizabeth Obrecht.
