HQMECQMING THE ROYAL PARTY Betty Seeley, Freshman, Sheryl Hustedt, Sophomore, Glcciievu Ant-.:, N .. La Vonne Sorensen, Senior, and .lo Ann Schoening, Junior. The morning of October 9th dawned bright and clear, and Galvo High was humming with expectancy and suspense. The parade was sched- uled for l:45 and the students of Galva High were scurrying about finishing their floats and other decorations. One of the most exciting events of the day was the crowning of the Homecoming Queen, Gleneva Allen. During the half-time the band dem- onstrated a planned performance and concluded with the foirming of a heart. As the band then played Let Me Call You Sweetheart Harold Elk motored the Queen and her attendants to the center of this heart in his convertible. Here in the presence of many spectators, Verdine Meyer, football captain, presented Gleneva with a beautiful bouquet of red roses and the reigning crown of the day. Everyone enjoyed themselves at the very successful party put on by the Juniors that evening. lt was an extremely happy occasion since the football team had shown an excellent performance in topping C'ville 33 to 6.
