The Galva girls basketball team this season was more or less building up to a future team. The team consisted of mostly sophomores and juniors, with only three seniors on the squad. With this team the Galva Devilettes showed the fans some of the basketball they can expect and always have looked forward to. They started the schedule off nicely and were going to prove that they were headed for another good season. Again this season the Galva girls were in the Maple Valley and Pop- Corn Loop Conferences. They participated in the Maple Valley Tournament at Holstein, also. Here, as the luck goes, they met Holstein in the first round and were eliminated. The team and season progressed till Sectional Tourney play was started. They raced past Cushing but had to run into Holstein, who proved to be one of the top teams in Northwest Iowa competi- tion.
