- -EGU!-IS l Mr, Morse, Mr. Kenefick, Mr. Nichols, Mr. Wing, Mr. Wood TI-TE BCDARD CDE TRUSTEES Miss H argfg HE Board of Trustees' job is to form the general policies of the school and to sanction expenditures of the district. ln the past year the Board has sponsored several improvements for the school. ln October a combination phonograph, public address system, and motion picture projector machine was purchased. This group next authorized the order of new uniforms for the fifty-eight members of the band. The pur- chase of two new busses to replace old ones brought our transportation facilities up to a high standard. The music department has augmented its school-owned musical equipment with an oboe, bassoon, flute, French horn, and sousaphone. The members of the Board of Trustees are: Mr. Robert Nichols, presidentg Mr. Fred W. Wing, clerkg Mr. Claud C. Woodg Mr. Egbert Morseg and Mr. Iohn T. Kenefick. Miss lane Hargis has been secretary to the Board of Trustees for the last two years, as well as secretary to the principal. 7

TI-IE STUDENT T CCDUINICIL The Student Council is made up of-eleven members whose duty it is to help govern the school in various ways. This year the Council has been very active. , They have sponsored five dances, all of which were successful, and a card party on which they cleared S201. When the new uniforms were purchased for the band, the council paid one-third or 55300. They have taken care of the financial phase of all football, basketball, and baseball games. Many good assemblies have been given this year. Some of the most' out- standing ones Were: 1 - November 10 ........ Pierce Knox, blind Xylophone player. Iulian Oliver, Spanish Metropolitan Opera Singer. Orrin Denny, the African explorer. I. E. Armstrong, speaker. Coach A. A. Stagg, Coach at the College of Pacific. Ianuary 8 .............. Y The Council has considered having a provision put in the constitution to set up a group of qualifications regarding grade averages for all student counf cil members. ' This has been the most cooperative and best Student Council we have had for some time, says Mr. Taylor, principal of Galt High School. 9
