Third row: Sydney Davis, Peggy Benson, L. J. Burbank. To serve is the motto of the Junior Red Cross Council. Each year an enrollment drive is given whereby the school is enrolled in Junior Red Cross making it eligible for the various programs offered. Some of the Council's proiects this year included a first aid room operated by Council members and holiday favors for the Old Folks Home. The Council also stood on street corners and collected money for the Hun- garian Relief Fund. Every summer two delegates are sent to the Pacific Area Train- ing Center to learn about Junior Red Cross and to bring back ideas on how to improve our Council. Last summer a Council member vvas also chosen to help rep- resent the United States at the first International Study Center to be held in this country. Sponsored by BEN FRANKLIN STORES
