Its purpose now is to promote interest in athletic events, to create a feeling of comradeship and loyalty among the athletes, to help in any and all ways to instill school spirit and sportsmanship in all con- testants and the student body. Annually it puts on a benefit dance and sponsors the Beat Park tag sale in order to raise money to defray medical expenses for injured athletes. 47
